Chances are, if you are an Architect or Interior Designer you already know you can get a discount on products that you buy, like furniture, carpet, and various other home products from certain vendors. For example, Herman Miller gives a 45% discount to architects, or at least that is what my HM supplier here in KC gives.
What you may not know is HM also gives a discount to Industrial Designers, as well as even Graphic Designers (I don’t think it is 45% though). I can’t speak for other vendors, but I’m sure someone like Knoll for example, is probably fairly similar.
I’m here to tell you to take advantage people! Believe me, I already have. I have two white armless Eames Shell Chairs with Eiffel bases, and now I have a blue Eames Rocker on the way.
OMG I cannot wait to be a licensed designer.
